NAB Executive Board approved filing of high profile corruption references and inquiries

ISLAMABAD – NAB Executive Board has approved filing of three corruptionreferences against various individuals for inflicting a loss of millions ofrupees to national exchequer.

The approval was granted at NAB Board’s meeting held in Islamabad onWednesday with Chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal in the chair.

The Board approved a reference against Khawaja Anwar Majeed and others onthe allegations of corruption and money laundering, causing a loss of 340million rupees to national kitty.

Other two references were approved against Syed Arif Khan and others of M/sCanal View for allegedly cheating the general public and former chairmanBalochistan Development Authority Sadat Anwar for having assets beyondmeans.

The meeting also approved three inquires against various people on chargesof corruption.
