RIYADH – US Secretary of State met with Saudi King in Riyadh today anddiscussed the issue of disappearance of Saudi journalist in Turkey. USSecretary of State Mike Pompeo has called on King Salman bin Abdul Aziz ofSaudi Arabia in Ryadh today to discuss growing controversy over thedisappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
After the talks with King, Pompeo held a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammedbin Salman and agreed on the importance of a thorough, transparent, andtimely investigation into Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance.
US State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said Secretary Pompeoreiterated President Donald Trump’s concern with respect to JamalKhashoggi’s disappearance, as well as the President’s desire to determinewhat happened.

Pompeo is also scheduled to visit Turkey, where Mr. Khashoggi was last seenat the Saudi consulate in Istanbul two weeks ago.
