LONDON – DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that peace is not possiblein the region and the world without Pakistan.
Addressing a ceremony at Warkwick University on Tuesday, he said thatPakistan had given the biggest sacrifice for peace in the world.
“The world should thank Pakistan for the elimination of terrorism. TheAl-Qaeda would have not been defeated without the help of Pakistan,” hesaid.
He said that Pakistan wants US presence till peace in Afghanistan.

The DG ISPR said that terrorist activities had been reduced to nil due theoperations launched by the Pakistan Army. “Peace in Pakistan andAfghanistan is linked to each other,” he declared.
