Pakistan Navy war games to validate war plans

KARACHI – Pakistan Navy’s (PN)’ Major Maritime Exercise Seaspark-18′bruefing was held in the Karachi on Monday.

The exercise is conducted biennially in order to assess war preparednessand validate operational plans of PN. Chief of the Naval Staff AdmiralZafar Mahmood Abbasi attended the opening brief as the chief guest.

The Exercise spanning over two months will be conducted in Arabian Sea allalong Pakistan Coast from Jiwani to Sir Creek. Pak Army, PAF andrepresentatives of Ministry of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Interior andFinance are also participating in the exercise.

During the opening brief, Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Operations)presented an overview of the exercise which was followed by presentation ofoperational plans by the Force Commanders.

All operational units of PN including ships, submarines, aircraft, UAVs,Special Forces and Pak Marines along with elements of Pakistan MaritimeSecurity Agency (PMSA), Pak Army and Pakistan Air Force are participatingin the exercise. Pakistan Navy is combat ready and fully committed toprotect national maritime interests during peace and war. The exerciseSeaspark-18 would therefore, provide impetus to Pakistan’s resolve ofmaintaining peace, security and stability in the region.
