ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Communications has earned over 6.3 crorerupees from the auction of the luxury vehicles today.
Ministry of Communication on Tuesday auctioned 66 out of 76 luxury vehiclesunder the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s austeritydrive.
The event raised about 63.9 million rupees as the bidders did not take partin the auction of eight luxury vehicles. The remaining two vehicles werenot put up for auction.
The next phase will take place in Peshawar on Wednesday where 15 cars willbe put up for auction, an event that has been billed as part of PrimeMinister Imran Khan’s drive to give “the nation’s wealth to its rightfulowners”.
