Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim played pivotal roles in securing a crucial59-run victory for the Jamaica Tallawahs against the St Kitts & NevisPatriots, ensuring their continued presence in contention for the 2023Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Playoff stage next week. The Tallawahs,after winning the toss, chose to bat first on Saturday. Despite facingearly challenges from the spin duo of Ashmead Nedd and George Linde, theymanaged to post an impressive total of 178/7 after 20 overs. This waslargely thanks to a resilient 62-run partnership for the seventh wicketbetween Shamar Springer and Fabian Allen.

As the Patriots took on the daunting task of chasing down the target of179, they encountered early setbacks with the dismissals of theirexperienced openers, Evin Lewis and Andre Fletcher, within the first threeovers.
