Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum’s term of service has been extended. Agovernment source confirmed this, dispelling speculations in the matter.According to private TV channels, General Nadeem Anjum will continue toserve in this capacity.
This decision was approved on September 14. Previously, former PrimeMinister Shahbaz Sharif had extended the tenure of Faiz Asadullah in theIntelligence Bureau one week before his retirement.
Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum assumed the role of DG ISI on November 20,2021, replacing General Faiz Hameed, who was appointed as the CorpsCommander Peshawar. Before this appointment, General Nadeem Anjum served asthe Corps Commander Karachi, and he has been posted in Karachi sinceSeptember 2019 after being promoted as a three-star general.
He is originally from Mehrabpur, Sheikhupura. He was commissioned inSeptember 1988 and is a graduate of the 78th Long Course of the PakistanMilitary Academy, with his affiliation to the Punjab Regiment
