Apple has a well-established tradition of not disclosing the exact batterycapacities of its devices within their specification sheets. Consequently, those eagerly seeking precise information often have to wait for therelease of new iPhone models and subsequent teardowns.
Alternatively, one can turn to China’s regulatory certification process forthe latest iPhone models, which has recently revealed that all four iPhone15 models come equipped with slightly larger batteries compared to theirpredecessors. Interestingly, the Pro model once again falls short in thebattery department compared to the standard iPhone 15.
In terms of battery capacity, the iPhone 15 now features a 3,349 mAhbattery, a minor increase from the iPhone 14’s 3,279 mAh. Similarly, theiPhone 15 Plus boasts a 4,383 mAh battery, which is slightly larger thanthe iPhone 14 Plus’s 4,325 mAh. Moving on to the Pro models, the iPhone 15Pro has a battery capacity of 3,274 mAh, an improvement from the iPhone 14Pro’s 3,200 mAh. Finally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max takes the lead with its4,422 mAh battery, surpassing the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 4,323 mAh.
However, it’s worth noting that these battery capacity increments arerelatively modest. Any significant improvements in battery life are morelikely to be attributed to more efficient chipsets and displays rather thanthese sub-100 mAh increases in battery size.
In addition to the iPhone 15 series, Apple also unveiled its new Watch 9series and the flagship Watch Ultra 2 alongside the new iPhones.Furthermore, the AirPods Pro 2 received updates such as USB C support, lossless audio, improved water resistance, and more, making it acomprehensive launch event for Apple enthusiasts.
