*New Delhi:* Former Indian Major General Yash Mor has strongly criticizedthe Modi government and Indian media for their role during the recentIndo-Pak conflict, admitting that Pakistan’s global standing has onlystrengthened after the war.
Speaking to Indian outlets, Yash Mor said that following the conflict, therespect for the Pakistan Army Chief and Pakistan’s military has grownworldwide. “Even U.S. President Donald Trump invited the Pakistani ArmyChief, and no country in the world raised questions against Pakistan,” henoted.
The retired general condemned the Modi administration’s aggressive stancetowards neighboring countries, questioning: *“For how long will Indiacontinue to remain in a state of hostility with its neighbors?”*
Mor also lambasted Indian media for spreading blatant falsehoods during theconflict. “Our media openly lied, made outrageous claims about reachingIslamabad and setting Karachi on fire, and nobody stopped them. Thebehavior of our so-called celebrities and YouTubers during the war wasdisgraceful,” he said.
He further remarked that Indian media’s role during the war was “uttergarbage” that discredited itself. “People were not watching Indian media orsocial media during the war, and due to its negative role, nobody was readyto believe its narratives,” Mor added.
Notably, Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan hadalso angered Indian media, which further exposed the fault lines within thegovernment’s handling of the crisis.
