Army Chief Asim Munir Urges Political Reconciliation Through Sincere Apologies

Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir says political reconciliation is possible through sincere apologies; those who apologize are like angels, while those who don’t are like devils.

According to Geo News, speaking to senior journalist Sohail Warraich during an event for overseas Pakistanis in Brussels, the Army Chief said that rumors about a “change” are completely false. He added that those spreading these rumors are against both the government and the establishment.

He stated that Allah has made him the guardian of the country and that he has no desire for any other position.

Discussing political reconciliation, the Army Chief referred to Quranic verses regarding the creation of Adam. He said that after the creation of Adam, everyone accepted God’s command except Iblis; those who apologized were considered angels, while the one who did not apologize became a devil.

Regarding foreign policy, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that Pakistan has long-standing experience in maintaining a balance in relations with China and the United States. He emphasized that they will not sacrifice one friend for the sake of another.

The Army Chief further said that former President Trump’s desire for peace is genuine, which is why he took the initiative to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize. He noted that the rest of the world is following Pakistan’s lead in nominating Trump for the award.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also warned India not to destroy peace in Pakistan through proxies. He added that the Afghan government should stop pushing the Taliban into Pakistan and stressed that avenging the blood of every Pakistani is a duty.

Additionally, the Army Chief praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for working diligently, 18 hours a day, with sincerity. He said that the determination shown by the Prime Minister and his cabinet during the war was commendable.

Meanwhile, during the event held in Brussels in honor of the Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir was welcomed as a victor of the war.

At the Brussels event, the Army Chief spent several hours greeting Pakistanis who had traveled from far away. When advised that meeting so many people at once could cause disorder, he responded that people had come from distant places and he could not break their hearts. He remained standing until every Pakistani had shaken hands with him and left.
