US dollar loses value in interbank market against Pakistani Rupee

KARACHI – The value of US dollar on Thursday, declined by 31 paisa againstPakistani rupee, in interbank market while by 50 paisa in open market.

After this decline, dollar value in interbank was recorded Rs123.40 whilein open market it is RS121.50.

The dollar value today is traded around Rs 123.40.

Spreadbetters expected European stocks to open slightly higher, withBritain’s FTSE .FTSE seen rising 0.2 percent, Germany’s DAX .GDAXI adding0.1 percent and France’s CAC .FCHI gaining 0.15 percent.

MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan .MIAPJ0000PUSslid more than 1 percent to its lowest since August 2017, after bouncing0.4 percent the previous day when the Turkish lira showed signs ofstabilizing.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng .HSI dropped 1.5 percent, reaching a near one-yearlow, and the Shanghai Composite Index .SSEC fell 1.3 percent. Signs of theworld’s second-largest economy losing momentum and the ongoing Sino-U.S.trade conflict have weighed on Chinese equities.

“Investors tend to focus on negative aspects of listed companies’first-half reports, as there is much pessimism and caution in a fallingmarket,” said Linus Yip, a Hong Kong-based analyst at First ShanghaiSecurities.
