LAHORE – Intelligence agencies have arrested three alleged terroristsduring an operation carried out late Wednesday night from Lahore’s BhatiGate area.
The intelligence agencies arrested three alleged terrorists, including awoman facilitator and shift them to an undisclosed location for furtherinvestigations pertaining to the probe into May 8 blast outside the DataDarbar shrine which had claimed 12 lives and wounded at least 25 others,Geo News reported.
Five police officials identified as Head Constable Shahid Nazir, HeadConstable Muhammad Sohail, Head Constable Gulzar Ahmad, and ConstableMuhammad Saleem, a security guard and civilians were among those martyredin the suicide terror attack which targetted an elite force van stationedoutside the entrance of Data Darbar.
The security forces are conducting the operation to arrest suspectsbelieved to be involved in the Data Darbar blast. Several suspects havebeen arrested so far in various operations.
Last week, security forces had arrested five suspected facilitators fromGarhi Shahu area after a raid on tea stall. While another suspectedfacilitator was arrested from Gujranwala two days later.
