*LAHORE: Punjab Police entered the Punjab Assembly and take threeprotesting lawmakers into custody. *
Despite protest by former Speaker and Punjab CM candidate Chaudhry PervaizElahi over police’s entry in the assembly, the law enforcement agencyarrested three Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPAs and reportedly torturedseveral others.
Later Pervaiz Elahi was also attacked after which he claimed that theattack on him was an “assassination attempt” as the attackers cried “*MaarDo*” (kill him) while hitting him.
Earlier, a number of ruling allianceMPAs attacked Deputy Speaker DostMuhammad Mazari and threw lotaslink athim forcing him to leave the house.
