ISLAMABAD – China Silk Road Group has expressed a keen interest in PrimeMinister Imran Khan’s low-cost housing scheme.
The Chairman of China Silk Road Group Limited, Yan Lijin, called on ImranKhan at PM Office along with a delegation wherein he expressed his keeninterest in the prime minister’s low-cost housing project.
The company offered an affordable solution for the construction of low-costhousing by setting up a plant for pre-fabricated housing structures inPakistan.
The Prime Minister welcomed the interest of the Chinese company in theproject.
He highlighted various government initiatives to increase ease of doingbusiness and providing the foreign investors an enabling environment toundertake profitable business ventures in the country.
He said there existed huge potential to further broaden Pak-Chinacooperation under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and translatethe time-tested friendly relations into mutually beneficial economicprojects.
Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Housing Chaudhry Tariq BashirCheema, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusru Bakhtiyar, Secretary Housing Dr.Imran Zeb were also present during the meeting, a PM Office statement said.
