Pakistan – India holds another round of bilateral talks at Zero Point

LAHORE – Pakistan and Indian officials will hold another round of talks onKartarpur Corridor at Zero Point on Tuesday.

According to diplomatic sources, officials from the Ministry of ForeignAffairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Federal Works Organisation (FWO)will attend the second round of technical talks.

From the Indian side, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs andMinistry of Interior will also participate in the meeting.

As Pakistan has already completed half of the construction work on thecorridor project, the delegations from both countries will discuss issuesrelated to the construction of road, maps and fencing.

On Nov 28 last year, Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stonefor a corridor linking Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan’s Kartarpur – thefinal resting place of Sikh faith’s founder Guru Nanak Dev – to Dera BabaNanak shrine in India’s Gurdaspur district to facilitate visa-free movementof Indian Sikh pilgrims.
