ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has awarded Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman withthe title of ‘Global Influential Figure’ of 2018.
The designation was awarded by the All Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) in aceremony held in Islamabad on Sunday. President Dr Arif Alvi handed thecertificate to Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador toPakistan.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MbS, was recognised for hisefforts in supporting Islam and taking care of the Two Holy Mosques, inaddition to championing key humanitarian issues including Palestine, Yemen,Syria and the protection of Muslim minorities, the PUC said on theoccasion. He was also recognised for his support of Pakistan and the peaceprocess with neighbouring India, the council added.
