Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated the Muslim Ummah and said thatour voice against the rising tide of Islamophobia has been heard and the UNhas adopted a landmark resolution which was introduced by Pakistan onbehalf of the OIC, designating 15 March as International Day to CombatIslamophobia.

In a tweet tonight, the Prime Minister said today (Tuesday) the UN hasfinally recognised the grave challenge confronting the world ofIslamophobia, respect for religious symbols and practices & of curtailingsystematic hate speech & discrimination against Muslims.

Imran Khan said next challenge is to ensure implementation of this landmarkresolution.
