Punjab government has a plan to shift all public sector electricityconnection on solar energy in near future to promote clean and green energyvision of Prime Minister Imran Khan in the country.
According to APP, the provincial government had shifted 10,500 publicschools on solar energy and now all public connections including healthunits and Universities are being switched to solar energy in next stage.
Meanwhile, the federal government also planned to open the energy marketfor the competitive bidding process to be initiated this year soon afterthe approval of Indicative Generation Capacity Expansion Plan.
