SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful demonstrations inSrinagar, Islamabad and other areas, today, against attacks on KashmiriMuslims by Hindu fanatics in Jammu and different Indian states.
According to Kashmir Media Service, people took to the streets in differentareas of Srinagar and Islamabad town and held massive demonstrations.
Indian troops and police used brute force and fired teargas shells todisperse the protesters, triggering clashes between the demonstrators andthe forces’ personnel.
Traders and shopkeepers observed strike in Lal Chowk and adjoining marketsin Srinagar to register protest against the victimization of the Kashmiris.
Despite curfew in Jammu city, Hindu arsonists attacked vehicles andresidential quarters of the Kashmiris in Janipur colony, today.

The Hindu extremists also attacked and harassed the Kashmiri studentsstudying in Indian states of Haryana and Dehradun.
Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, MuhammadAshraf Sehrai, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani andJamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir in their statements denounced theattacks on the Kashmiris.
