ISLAMABAD –COAS General Qamar Bajwa held important meeting with PM ImranKhan.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan onThursday and discussed the national security along with variousprofessional affairs of the Armed Forces.
According to sources, the meeting talked about the security situationacross the Line of Control (LoC) along with other regional security matters.
On Jan 14, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said thatPakistan will continue to play its role for regional peace withoutcompromising on national security.
Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan is the leading participant in theregion with significant contributions towards peace and stability.
“We shall continue to play our responsible and positive role towards thisend without compromising national security and defence of the motherland atwhatever cost,” the COAS said.
Taking account of repeated provocative statements of Indian militaryleadership regarding aggression against Pakistan, the forum termed it as anirresponsible rhetoric with implications on regional peace and stability.
