According to the criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials, theAfghan forces discovered and defused three Improvised Explosive Devicesplanted in three different locations of the city to kill the innocentcivilians.
The officials further added that the IEDs were discovered during theoperations conducted in the 4th, 5th, and 9th police districts of the city.
The anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban insurgentshave not commented regarding the report so far.
This comes as the anti-government armed militant groups are attempting tocarry out deadly attacks in the cities of the country, including capitalKabul.
The Afghan defense officials blame the Haqqani terrorist network for themajority of the deadly attacks, specifically the attacks which have beencarried out in Kabul city.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense General Mohammad Radmanish has toldVOA that the intelligence findings reveal Haqqani Network’s hands behindthe attacks and not the ISIS terrorist group.
“Based on our intelligence, they [IS] do not have the ability to carry outsuch attacks in the capital or its suburbs,” he said.
This comes as the ISIS terrorist group has long been claimingresponsibility for the attacks in capital Kabul which have left scores ofpeople dead or wounded.
