Dressed in Pakistani flag colours, Royal couple meet Pakistani PM Imran Khan in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton met with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and President Dr Arif Alvi on the second day of their visit in Islamabad.

On arrival at the Prime Minister’s House, PM Khan welcomed the royal couple. The British guests was being hosted lunch with the prime minister.

Before meeting with the premier, the couple was welcomed by President Arif Alvi and his wife Samina Arif at Aiwan-i-Sadr. Kate, who earlier donned a royal blue kurta, changed into green and white attire for the formal receptions.

President Alvi and the first lady welcomed the Royal couple. The Duke of Cambridge thanked the President for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his entourage.

They appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Government of Pakistan to combat climate change and to alleviate poverty. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a 5-day visit to Pakistan, during which they would visit Islamabad, Lahore and the Northern areas of Pakistan.
