The President of the Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights (JKCHR) has drawn the attention of India’s National Human Rights Commission towards the illegal detention of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates in New Delhi’s Tihar jail.
In a letter, JKCHR president Syed Nazir Gilani said Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen are also languishing with Aasiya Andrabi.
He asked the National Human Rights Commission to constitute a panel to visit Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates and ensure their shifting back to Srinagar.
