Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Kiri Machan Khel, Tank district, resulting in the death of seven terrorists. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a statement, indicating that the operation occurred during the night between November 14 and 15, 2023, based on reported terrorist presence.
The operation witnessed an intense exchange of gunfire between the security forces and the terrorists, leading to the elimination of seven militants.
Additionally, the operation successfully uncovered terrorists' hideouts, with the recovery of weapons and ammunition. These terrorists were actively involved in various acts of terrorism, including recent target killings of police in Tank and its surroundings.
The ISPR statement mentioned an ongoing sanitization operation aimed at eradicating any remaining terrorists in the area.
The local population expressed appreciation for the operation and offered full support to the security forces in their efforts to eliminate the menace of terrorism, as stated in the ISPR release.
