In an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Kiri Machan Khel area of Tank district, security forces eliminated seven terrorists during a night operation on November 14-15, 2023.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported a fierce exchange of fire between troops and terrorists, resulting in the successful neutralization of the terrorists. The operation also led to the discovery and destruction of terrorists' hideouts, along with the recovery of weapons and ammunition.
These terrorists were actively involved in various activities, including recent targeted killings of police in Tank and nearby areas. The ISPR mentioned an ongoing sanitization operation to eliminate any remaining terrorists, with local residents expressing appreciation and full support for the security forces' efforts against terrorism.
