First ever Lahore to Kasur women cycle race being held

LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Cycling Association is organizing first ever women open road Cycle race on March 23 to celebrate Pakistan's day in befitting manner.

The race will start from Punjab Stadium in the morning and will end at Kasur.

Ch Kamran Amin, President Punjab Cycling Association will flag off the riders at the inaugural ceremony, said a spokesman of PCA while talking to APP here on Wednesday.

"The first six position holders of the event will be given cash prizes at the closing ceremony at Kasur," he said.

Syed Nazaqat Ali Shah a former International Cyclist will act as the chief judge of the event while Qaisar Saddique Bhatti has been nominated as chief coordinator.

Muhammad Akram Dar is the director of the race.

The Interested female cyclists are advised to register their names to the organizing secretary of the race at starting point at 8.30 am.
