MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, in a phone call have discussed joint efforts aimed at solving the Syrian crisis.
Kremlin said in a statement that during talks attention was paid to joint steps aimed at solving the crisis in Syria on the basis of corresponding resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the agreements reached within the Astana format.
Putin congratulated Erdogan on winning the recent election and coming to office as Turkey’s President. (Reuters/Tass)
