PM Nawaz Sharif lashes out at India over brutalities in Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

He was addressing the Special Cabinet meeting in Lahore on Friday which reviewed deteriorating situation in the occupied Kashmir the Prime Minister said Kashmir movement is for freedom and Indian brutalities will give impetus to their freedom struggle.

He said seven hundred thousand Indian soldiers deployed in Occupied Kashmir could not suppress the struggle of Kashmiris.

The Prime Minister termed Burhan Wani as martyr of independence movement.

He said Kashmiri people will get their right to self-determination for which the Pakistani nation stands by them.

The Prime Minister directed all the relevant departments to highlight Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir at international fora.

On the Prime Minister's proposal, the Federal Cabinet decided to observe as Black Day on Tuesday in protest against atrocities being committed in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The cabinet also decided to summon joint session of the parliament to discuss Indian brutalities in the occupied Kashmir.

At the outset of the meeting, the Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry briefed the cabinet about the latest situation in held valley.

The Cabinet also reviewed security and political situation in the country.

The Cabinet offered fateha for the departed souls of Shuhada-e-Kashmir, Abdul Sattar Edhi, and Amjad Sabri.

The meeting also condemned the terrorist attacks in France, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Turkey and Indonesia.

The Federal Cabinet stressed upon the United Nations to revitalize its efforts for solution of Kashmir issue.

The cabinet directed the ministry of Foreign Affairs to highlight Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir at international fora.
