ISLAMABAD – Pakistan National Security Council revamped by PM Imran Khan with a new addition.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has revamped the National Security Council (NSC) as Special Assistant to PM on National Security Division Dr Moeed W. Yusuf has been included in it, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
According to details, the National Security Council – the most important forum regarding national strategic decisions – will now comprise 12 members and the premier will be its chairman.
Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Interior Minister Brig (r) Ijaz Shah, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Adviser to PM on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Adviser to PM on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan and Special Assistant to PM on National Security Division Dr Moeed W. Yusuf will be part of the NSC.
Furthermore, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and chiefs of Pakistan Army, Air Force and Navy will also be members of the National Security Council.
