Turkey has reiterated to go ahead with purchase of Russia’s S-400 missile system, as an informal deadline for Ankara to respond to a rival US offer expires tomorrow.
The assertion came from Chairman of Turkey’s parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Volkan Bozkir, during his visit to Washington.
Volkan Bozkir said the deal with Russia would not be canceled as Turkey needs the system to address its security concerns.
They have also said it would jeopardize Turkey’s purchase of Lockheed Martin Corp F-35 fighter jets and possibly result in US sanctions.
