China has warned the United States for planning fresh naval patrols in the South China Sea.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told a regular news briefing that tension in the South China Sea has eased after the hard work between China and Southeast Asia countries.
The spokesperson urged Washington not to take any action that challenges China's sovereignty and security.
Earlier, United States conducted a navigation operation in the area in October last when it sailed the guided-missile destroyer USS Decatur near the Paracel Islands and within waters claimed by China.
