RAWALPINDI: Pakistani Cricketer Abid Ali makes history in the World of Cricket in Rawalpindi Test.
Pakistan’s opener Abid Ali became the first man cricketer in history to score centuries on both ODI and Test debuts.
England’s woman cricketer Enid Bakewell is the only other player to achieve the feat before Abid Ali. She hit her first Test hundred in 1968 and her ODI debut ton in 1973.
Abid scored 112 against Australia in Dubai on his one-day international debut in March this year.
He is also the first Pakistani batsman to make a hundred at home in 10 years and first to score a ton in Rawalpindi since 2000 after Younis Khan.
The 32-year-old was unbeaten on 91 along with Babar Azam on 47 as Pakistan reached 177-2 at tea in reply to Sri Lanka's first innings total of 308-6 on the fifth day at Rawalpindi stadium.
