ISLAMABAD - The government of Punjab on Saturday released a list of defaulters who had reportedly stayed at the Islamabad’s Punjab House during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, and owe Rs 60 million, according to a report link .
At least 76 people including prominent PML-N leaders, government officials and their relatives, owe more than Rs60 million in payments as they did not clear the bills of their stay and meals.
According to the list, former information minister Pervaiz Rasheed owes a sum of Rs7.05 million of which Rs0.69 million is owed for his stay in 2011 from January to August and Rs6.4 million is owed for his stay between June 2013 and May 2018. His daughter Poonam Rasheed owes Rs2.7 million.
PML-N Senator Asif Kirmani owes a payment of Rs6.5 million, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Chaudhry Kabir owes Rs2.3 million, whereas Sessions Judge Ghaffar Jaleel is yet to pay Rs1.3 million.
