KARACHI: Sindh Social Welfare Minister Shamim Mumtaz has revealed that newborns and missing children are being smuggled to foreign countries through NGOs.
In an interview with 92 News, she said that people living abroad are taking toddlers and underage children to foreign countries on the pretext of adopting them.
She said that the Sindh Social Welfare Department has no record of the children being adopted.
The minister revealed that the NGOs working on children are sending them to South Africa.
She said that they had called NGOs working on children several times, but they did not turn up.
