Thamar Al Tayyib-16:    Pak-Oman joint  Naval Exercise concludes

KARACHI: (APP) Bi-lateral Exercise between Pakistan and Omani Navies "THAMAR AL TAYYIB-16", was conducted in North Arabian Sea.

RNO Task Group comprising warship RNOV AL SADH & RNOV AL BUSHRA and frontline combatants of Pakistan Navy participated in the exercise, a press release of Pakistan Navy said here on Thursday.

The bilateral exercise included range of advanced operational exercises encompassing major facets of maritime warfare particularly Operations related to counter terrorism, counter Piracy, anti-surface, live weapon firing conducted in a multi threat environment.

The current exercise THAMAR AL TAYYIB-16, eighth in the series, involved participation of Pakistan Navy Destroyer Frigates, Missile Boats and Naval Aviation units.

Commander Pakistan Fleet expressed satisfaction on successful conduct of exercise and appreciated the participating units. He also thanked Royal Navy of Oman for their whole hearted participation in Exercise THAMAR AL TAYYIB-16.

The spirited participation by RNO units in the exercise is a clear manifestation of common professional working culture and strong foundation of brotherly relations between the two nations for decades.
