Captain (R) Arif Nawaz: Career profile of new IGP Punjab Police

LAHORE - Narcotics Control Division Secretary Capt (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan has been appointed as Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab. According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of Pakistan on Monday, Capt (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan, a BS-22 officer, had joined Police Service of Pakistan in 1986 as an ASP. He was promoted to SP rank in 1992, whereas he had also served as SP Gujranwala, Rajanpur, Chakwal, Sargodha and Khyber PakhtunKhwa. He was promoted to SSP in 2000, DIG in 2009 and as Addl IG in 2014.

Moreover, Arif Nawaz Khan had also served as IGP Punjab in 2018. He also remained posted in Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, special branch, VVIP security, Central Police Office Lahore, Punjab, and as DIG Training, Punjab.
