22 probables for World Cup undergo fitness test at Lahore

*LAHORE - The fight for a chance to make into the World Cup squad of Pakistan would begin today (Monday), as 22 probables would participate in the Pakistan Cricket Board’s fitness tests in Lahore .*

The 22 probables will undergo fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), which would be a close session. It is pertinent to inform that left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz who was part of the initial 23 probables has undergone fitness test at the NCA on Saturday.

Nawaz fitness test has been advanced on the request of State Bank, which wants him to play in their Patron’s Trophy Grade-II opener against Army in Rawalpindi.

Furthermore, the probables will then participate in training sessions at the Gaddafi Stadium on 16 and 17 April. These will strictly be vision only opportunities.

Sarfaraz Ahmed (captain), Abid Ali, Asif Ali, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Sohail, Hassan Ali, Imad Wasim, Imam-ul-Haq, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik, Usman Shinwari and Yasir Shah

The upcoming World Cup 2019 is scheduled to begin on May 30, at England and Wales.
