ISLAMABAD: International Cricket revival in Pakistan may see the light of day as Pakistan Cricket Board is making efforts to hold few matches of West Indies and Pakistan cricket series in Pakistan in September.

As per details, cricket series between Pakistan and West Indies is scheduled in UAE in September this year while two test, five ODIs and two T20 matches would be played between both teams in UAE.

According to the sources, negotiations are on with West Indies Cricket Board for playing bilateral series earlier planned in UAE to be played in Pakistan in September this year.

Sources further claimed that West Indian player’s fees would be increased if their cricket board agrees to play series in Pakistan.

On the other hand, PCB also decided to approach former legendry players of West Indies including Brian Lara and Sir Vivan Richard in this regard so that they would try to convince their board for revival of cricket in Pakistan.

It is also worthy to mention here that no international team has visited Pakistan since the attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009.
