KARACHI: Alexey Y Dedov, the ambassador of the Russian Federation inPakistan has responded over the issue of opening of Kartarpur corridor byPakistan.
He said that the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor for the Sikh pilgrimsacross the border shows Pakistan’s commitment towards peace in the region.
The ambassador, speaking at Pakistan Institute of International Affairs onthe topic of “Russia’s Stabilising Role in South Asia”, appreciated themilitary operations conducted by the security forces against militantspresent inside its border under operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and Zarb-e-Azb.
The Russian ambassador said that his country believes in strengtheningbilateral relations between Islamabad and Moscow, and Peace Mission 2018 isa testament to the fact.

Dedov said that “dynamic changes in the region have occurred one side wehave globalization and technology progress while on the other hand we arefacing international terrorism, drugs and human trafficking which changesthe International landscape so quickly.”
