ISLAMABAD – The government of Punjab on Saturday released a list ofdefaulters who had reportedly stayed at the Islamabad’s Punjab House duringthe tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, and owe Rs60 million, according to a reportlink.
At least 76 people including prominent PML-N leaders, government officialsand their relatives, owe more than Rs60 million in payments as they did notclear the bills of their stay and meals.
According to the list, former information minister Pervaiz Rasheed owes asum of Rs7.05 million of which Rs0.69 million is owed for his stay in 2011from January to August and Rs6.4 million is owed for his stay between June2013 and May 2018. His daughter Poonam Rasheed owes Rs2.7 million.
PML-N Senator Asif Kirmani owes a payment of Rs6.5 million, PakistanTourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Chaudhry Kabirowes Rs2.3 million, whereas Sessions Judge Ghaffar Jaleel is yet to payRs1.3 million.
