Former first lady Bushra Bibi’s interim bail in the Toshakhana and Al-QadirTrust cases has been extended by the accountability court of Islamabaduntil November 17.
The judge, Muhammad Bashir, raised concerns about the absence of BushraBibi’s counsel, leading to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)prosecutor expressing unawareness of the counsel’s reasons for notattending.
The court, due to the absence of the defendant’s counsel, adjourned thehearing until Friday, maintaining Bushra Bibi’s interim bail extensionuntil November 17.
Notably, the Islamabad High Court’s registrar office had previously raisedobjections to Bushra Bibi’s application seeking protection against arrestor summons in any case.
