ISLAMABAD – Afghanistan’s spy agency National Directorate of Security(NDS) was behind assassination of SP Tahir Khan Dawar, sources haverevealed.

NDS had ordered assassination of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) SuperintendentPolice (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar, well-informed sources have revealed.

As soon as news of Dawar’s martyrdom surfaced, the controversial MNA MohsinDawar attempted to put the blame of hapless incident on Pakistan andpointed fingers at country’s security apparatus.

Sources further added that Mohsin Dawar held direct talks with hostileAfghan officials and remained in contact with them.

On October 26, the ill-fated police official had gone missing from Ramnaneighborhood of the federal capital, Islamabad.

A high-level committee was constituted that conducted raids at scatteredplaces in the country. The committee also held talks with members of Jirga(traditional assembly of tribal leaders).
