In a big breakthrough, top commander of BLA killed by Pakistani Security Forces

In Quetta, the leader of the Baloch Liberation Army’s Abdul Majeed Brigade,known as Saddam Hussain or by aliases such as Muslim, Guru, and Jabbar, waseliminated in an intelligence-driven operation by security forces, alongwith his associate.

During the operation, another terrorist named Maqsood, who was Saddam’saccomplice, was also neutralized. Substantial quantities of weaponry andexplosives were confiscated from Maqsood’s possession.

Over the course of two decades of counter-terrorism efforts, securityforces have successfully eliminated a significant number of terroristsassociated with various extremist groups. Notably, many of thoseneutralized were individuals directly involved in attacks againstPakistanis, leading to heightened tensions among various terrorist factions.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), in collaboration with India’sintelligence agency (RAW), has been known to amplify the BLA’s relativelylow-level and cowardly acts of terrorism on social media for propagandapurposes.

Moreover, Pakistan and China are set to sign new agreements for highwaydevelopment as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Saddam Hussain initially joined the Baloch Liberation Front in 2008, wherehe received training in the use of light and heavy weaponry, as well aslandmine placement, at a terrorist training camp in the Mishke area ofBalochistan. Subsequently, in 2014, he joined the BLA and was promoted tothe position of a secret training camp commander in Kech district in 2017.By 2021, he had risen to the rank of a local commander.

During this period, Saddam was involved in 93 terrorist incidents, whichincluded grenade attacks, mine explosions, and targeted assassinations invarious areas of South Balochistan. Tragically, these acts of terrorismresulted in the loss of 131 innocent lives and left 177 individuals injured.
