United States Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West siad thatthe Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan is now a threat to Pakistan’s territorialintegrity.
Speaking at a think tank in Washington, West said that there had been anoticeable increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan by the TTP in recentmonths which could impose a serious threat to Pakistan’s territory.
He said that the TTP had allied itself with the Afghan Taliban duringNATO’s war in Afghanistan and the two movements still have deep links.

West has been working as the US representative for Afghanistan since 2021,when the previous reprsentative Zalmay Khalilzad stepped down two monthsafter the fall of Kabul.
