ISLAMBAD – Top Indian leader stuns all at home and in Islamabad with hisheaps of praise for Pakistan, lashes out at PM Modi for false propaganda.
Indian Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday praisedPakistan for its hospitality and said that people in Pakistan are happy butthe BJP-led government at the Centre has been spreading lies about Pakistanonly for political gains.
“I have visited Pakistan and received their hospitality…It is a misplacedfact that people in Pakistan are unhappy. However, the present governmenthas been spreading lies about Pakistan for their own political benefits,”Pawar said.
The NCP chief made the statement while addressing a special event forminorities at NCP headquarters in Mumbai. During his address, the veteranpolitician also talked about issues like mob lynching and Article 370.

Pawar also criticized the Centre for abrogating Article 370, which grantedspecial status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, and said thatthe article existed to give some special powers to people of Jammu andKashmir.
“By scrapping Article 370, the government wants to convey that they areopposing a minority state and in the process, this action of theirs willlead to more terrorism in the Valley,” Pawar noted.
