OIC once again strongly responds against India over Occupied Kashmir crisis

*RIYADH – Organization of Islamic Conference once again strongly respondsagainst India over Occupied Kashmir crisis.*

*The lockdown of Indian occupied Kashmir in Eid al Adha holidays andrestriction over Muslims not to offer Eid prayer is a matter of graveconcern for the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), says itsSecretary General Dr Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen.*

In a statement, Dr Yousef regretted that Kashmiri Muslims were stopped evenfrom offering Eid prayer which is a matter of deep concern for the OIC.

“The OIC expresses its concerns over disturbing situation in the valley andcheck on religious freedom.”

He urged the world countries to take steps toward resolving the Kashmirproblem in the light of the United Nations resolutions.

Earlier, OIC had expressed deep concern over the recent developments in theIndian-administered Kashmir, mainly the revocation of special status to thedisputed Himalayan valley by New Delhi.

In a statement at an emergency meeting of the organization’s Contact Groupon Jammu and Kashmir in Jeddah August 6, OIC Secretary General Drreaffirmed the OIC’s full support to the people of occupied Jammu andKashmir in their just struggle to achieve their legitimate rights, inparticular the right to self-determination.
