ISLAMABAD – The APHC-AJK chapter held a protest demonstration outsideIndian High Commission in Islamabad to mark India’s Independence Day asBlack Day.

In Belgium, a large number of people including representatives of differentorganisations based in this and other European countries joined a protestdemonstration in front of the Indian Embassy in Brussels, today (Wednesday).

The event was organized by Kashmir Council Europe. Similar protests andrallies were also held in London and other parts of the world.

Meanwhile, a big rally was taken out in Mirpur on Wednesday to observe theIndian Independence day as black day.

A large number of people from all walks of life took part in the rally.

Workers of various political parties and civil society registered theirprotest against the illegal Indian occupation of major parts of Jammu andKashmir.

They highlighted the importance of early and peaceful settlement of Kashmirissue, and urged the United Nations to play its due role in this regard.

Various political, religious, social and human rights organizations alsoheld anti-India rallies in various other parts of Mirpur division.
