The Taliban and Afghan Government’s negotiators, who met in Qatar, haveemphasised need to speed up the peace talks in Doha.
The negotiating team representing the Afghan government said on Twitter thetwo sides also discussed the on-going situation in the country.
The spokesman for the Taliban, Mohammad Naeem, in a tweet said both sideshave agreed to continue talks after the Eid holidays.
Earlier, the Taliban refused to attend a Washington-backed conference inTurkey last month that was being held in a bid to speed up peace talks.
The event was later indefinitely postponed.
