BEIJING – China has expresssed serious concern over the violent clashes inthe Gaza Strip and called on both Israel and Palestine to exerciserestraint.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson at a daily news briefing in Beijingtoday said that China is seriously concerned about the confrontations thatcaused mass casualties and opposes violent action targeting civilians.
