Sikh Pilgrims across the World visiting Pakistan make a call to India

ISLAMABAD – The Sikh pilgrims from across the world visiting Pakistan tocelebrate Baisakhi Festival and Khalsa Anniversary have called on theregional stakeholders to give peace a chance and join hands for a freetrade regime.

Talking to APP, Jarnail Singh from Canada said Pakistan, India, Bangladeshand Iran should introduce free trade among their nations which would helpovercome poverty, violence and extremism. He said the arrangements foraccommodation; food and transport for Sikh Yatrees were up to the mark. Hesaid it was heartening to see a warm welcome by the local people, embracingand taking selfies with them.

Sukhdev Singh, a pilgrim from Hoshiarpur, said the arrangements made by theauthorities for the Sikh yatrees to perform their religious obligationswere appreciable. He said such facilities are not available to them inIndia.
